All recalled
7000 gas valves have a date code from 0306 through 0436, so
valves with earlier or later codes are not being recalled. |
| |
All 7000 Series
replacement valves are marked on the valve body with a
black letter
in a circle near the magnet and a
green stripe on the inlet of the valve.

If the gas valve falls within the date codes
of 0306 through 0436 and does not have the markings shown above,
please follow the safety precautions below and call 800-232-9389
to arrange service.
As with any gas appliance, if you smell gas near the appliance or
in the building, immediately leave the area and call your gas company
or a certified gas technician to investigate the cause. If you do
not smell gas, check the pilot lights on your gas appliances. If
any pilot lights are out, do not attempt to relight. Have the appliance
examined by a qualified technician. If the pilot is functioning
normally (or if the gas supply to the appliance is shut off), you
will need to determine if your gas appliance has a valve that is
being recalled.
